Background and Past Award Recipients

The New Zealand Health Industry Awards was initiated in 1997 to acknowledge and honour the people who have provided many years of dedicated and committed service to the public.

The recipients from past Awards have been a diverse group ranging from Doctors, Naturopaths, Health Journalists, St John’s Ambulance, writers and politicians to cover just a few.

There are two awards; the Lifetime Achievement Award and the Distinguished Services Award for services to the community. The Lifetime Achievement Award Trophy was designed by internationally acclaimed sculptor Maurice Quinn. The theme of the trophy signifies a flame, the three configurations depicting warmth, hope, purification and safety.

This event provides the opportunity to showcase and raise the profile of the natural health industry, an industry that quietly serves New Zealanders year after year.

We extend a warm invitation for you to join us and to be part of the” Event of the Year”
